- 100g wholewheat self-raising flour shopping list
- 2 tsp baking powder shopping list
- salt shopping list
- 75g medium oatmeal shopping list
- 40g soft light brown sugar shopping list
- 75g dried stoned dates, choppped shopping list
- 1 tbsp set honey shopping list
- 15g soft margarine shopping list
- 150ml buttermilk shopping list
How to make it
- preheat oven to 400F
- mix flour, baking powder, salt, oatmeal, sugar and dates
- melt honey, margarine, buttermilk over low heat, then cool slightly
- pour milk mixture on dry ingredients and stir quickly to form smooth batter
- spoon mixture into deep patty tins, just over half full
- bake for 15-18 min, until muffins are well risen and firm
- leave to cool in tins for 2 min, then remove muffins and let cool on wire rack
- store in airtight tin
