Ingredients

Buttermilk bread (thick)………8slices toasted

Eggs…….3

Milk…………….2 ½ cups

Butter……………4 tblsps(room temperature)

Sugar……….1cup

Cardamom powder…………1/4tsp

Ice cream………..vanilla flavor

Raw cashews..................1/2 cup fried in butter(ghee*)

Golden raisins...............handful (fried in ghee*)

*Clearified butter

Directions

Preheat oven to 350F

Toast the bread, remove crust and cut into cubes

Place the cubes in a buttered baking dish

Beat together eggs,milk,sugar,butter and cardamom powder until fluffy

Pour over the bread and press it down

Cover and refrigerate until ready to bake.

Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 40mins.

Serve with fried cashews and golden raisins and scoop of vanilla ice cream.
