  • Plum tomatoes
  • cappers
  • garlic
  • olive oil
  • olives
  • parmesan cheese

Directions
  1. Cut a clove of garlic in half and brown in 4 Tbs olive oil: remove garlic.
  2. Add a No. 2.5 (or about 16oz) can plum tomatoes, strained; t Tbs. capers which have been soaked in water for a few minutes, 1/4 tsp dried basil, 2 Tbs chopped green olives (or black - I prefer black), salt and black pepper to taste.
  3. Cover pan and simmer for about 45 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Add 1Tbs. parmesan cheese about 5 minutes before cooking is complete.
  5. Serve on cooked spagetti.
