Ingredients

How to make it

  • Put the butter, margarine and oil in a bowl and heat until melted... I use a 1 quart plastic container as a bowl and heat in a bath of a small amount of boiling water.
  • Add water to container and place in fridge for several hours.
  • Using your hand mixer, beat contents until they form a very thick cream and put container back in fridge with a cover on it.
  • Your butter spread will be ready in a few hours.
  • Use it like you would butter... it's easy to spread, tastes wonderful and if you use the right margarine and oil it is low in cholesterol.
  • Once you make this, you will continue making it for the rest of your life, guaranteed!
  • And of course you can flavor the butter mix with herbs, spices or whatever.

Try olive oil and Promise spread - the low cholesterol stuff for a healthy spread. Plain vegetable oil with store brand margarine - usually about 99 cents a pound - will do if you are not as concerned with health issues as cost.
