Ingredients
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup semi sweet chocolate chips (Put this into the batter after it is mixed but coat with flour first)
  • TOPPING
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts
  • 3/4 cup light brown sugar
  • 2 Tbls softened butter

Directions
  1. Cream butter.
  2. Add sugar and eggs and beat well.
  3. Add sour cream and vanilla, mix well.
  4. Sift dry ingredients, add to wet mixture and mix just till blended.
  5. Pour half the batter into a greased tube pan.
  6. Put half of the topping over the batter, then top with remaining batter. Put the remaining topping on the top of the cake.
  7. Bake 40 minutes at 350 degrees.
  8. Let cool and remove from pan.
