Ingredients

How to make it

  • Mix all burger ingredients until just combined. Divide into four even patties and allow them to rest a few minutes.
  • In a medium saucepan, combine all sauce ingredients over medium heat. Bring to a gentle simmer and keep warm, stirring occasionally.
  • Heat a heavy skillet large enough to hold all four patties over medium high heat. Plop the burgers in and let em cook, turning only once. When they are almost as done as you want them, remove patties and drain off grease. Add warm sauce to skillet and return burgers, nestling them down in the sauce. Let simmer a few more minutes until burgers reach desired level of doneness and keep warm.
  • Meanwhile, get your broiler going. Combine butter, parsley, and garlic to taste and spread evenly over each slice of bread.
  • Top bread with cheese and broil 3-4 minutes or until cheese is bubbly and edges are golden brown.
  • Immediately top with burger patties and spoon lots and lots of delish sauce over them. Crack open a beer and enjoy.
