Strawberry Romaine Salad Recipe

Ingredients

DRESSING

3/4 cup sugar

1/2 cup red wine vinegar

1 cup light olive oil

2 cloves fresh garlic (crushed)

1/2 tsp. salt

1/4 tsp. black pepper

SALAD

1 head Romaine lettuce

1 head boston lettuce OR fresh spinach

1 pint cleaned and sliced starwberries

1 cup chopped walnuts

1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese

Directions

DRESSING

combine all ingredients in a jar and shake. Refrigerate untill chilled.

Salad

Wash lettuce and tear into bite sized peices in large salad bowl.

When ready to serve, toss with shaken dressing (I use half).

Add sliced strawberries, walnuts, and cheese. Toss and serve chilled.
