How to make it

  • In saucepan,combine water,sugar and cinnamon stick.
  • Bring to a boil,cover partially and simmer over low heat for about 15 minutes.
  • Drain cherry liquid from sour red cherries into a small bowl.
  • Stir in cornstarch until dissolved.
  • Remove sugar syrup from heat , take out cinnamon stick.
  • With a whisk,stir in cornstarch.
  • Return to heat,cook and stir over low heat for 5 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and stir in heavy cream,yogurt and wine.
  • Add cherries,pour into glass bowl and refrigerator until chilled.
  • I serve this in small crystal dessert goblets.
