Neopolitan Meatballs With Raisins And Pine Nuts Recipe
A perfect blend of flavors and ingredients for a special meatball recipe. Use on pasta, in sub sandwhiches, as a side etc.

Ingredients
  • 1 qt favorite tomato sauce
  • 1 lb meatloaf mix ( beef, pork veal ) or use what you like, even turkey
  • 1/2 to 3/4 cup seasoned brerad crumbs
  • 1/4 cup Romano cheese grated
  • 5 Tbs pine nuts ( toast them )
  • 3 Tbs soft raisins chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/2 cup Italian parsley finely chopped
  • 2 Tbs extra virgin olive oil
  • dash of cinnamon, nutmeg and fresh ground pepper
  • Extra olive oil for frying

Directions
  1. Mix everything together ( except sauce ).
  2. Roll into desired size balls and brown in skillet ( non stick will use less oil )
  3. Then transfer into a pot of the tomato sauce and heat and simmered covered another 20 minutes
