Steak and Mushrooms

STEAK AND MUSHROOMS This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Peyton Estate in Waxahachie, Texas in 1984.
Ingredients
- 1 cup mushrooms shopping list
- 3 tablespoons butter shopping list
- 1 cup milk shopping list
- 2 tablespoons flour shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika shopping list
- 1 pound sirloin steak shopping list
How to make it
- Simmer mushrooms in butter for 7 minutes then cover and cook slowly.
- Add flour and cook until browned then add remaining ingredients and cook until sauce thickens.
- While sauce is cooking broil steak until done then place on a platter and trim off and discard fat.
- Cut into bite size pieces then pour sauce over steak and serve.
