From Polly Giebler at Allrecipes... this sounds GREAT to me! I can say that it would NEVER serve 18 in our house... you be the judge.

  • 1 1/2 cups fresh (or frozen and thawed) blueberries
  • OR
  • 4 1/2 cups berry of your choice
  • 4 tablespoons white sugar
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 1 1/2 cups pack brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 1/2 cups cold butter

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

  3. Set aside.
  4. In separate bowl, combine flour, oats, brown sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg.
  5. Cut in butter until crumbly.
  6. **I would do the preceding two steps in a food processor.
  7. Press half the flour mixture onto the bottom of a 9x13x2 pan.
  8. Cover with berries.
  9. Sprinkle remaining crumble mixture over berries.
  10. Bake for 30 to 40 minutes OR until fruit is bubbly and topping golden brown.
