Ingredients

How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 375
  • Peel and slice apples into crescent shapes (about 1/4" thick)
  • Spray pie pan w/non-stick butter spray (gives it some flavor and helps out in the end)
  • Line pie pan with crust
  • In a large bowl stir together 3/4c sugar, 2 tbsp flour, 1/2 tbsp cinnamon, and 1/4 tbsp nutmeg
  • Add apple slices to mixture
  • Pour apple mixture into pie pan, and place the other pie crust on top, folding the edges over the bottom crust (if you pinch them together, it creates a nice thick crust)
  • Prepare crumble topping by mixing 1/2c brown sugar and 1/2c flour. Then cut in the 2 tbsps of butter until it is "crumbly."
  • Sprinkle the crumble topping onto the top of the pie, and make some slits for venting
  • Bake for 15 minutes, then put some tinfoil over crust edges (so they stay perfect). Then cook for the remaining 60 minutes, then cool, and enjoy your yummy desert! *note that you should check the pie at about 45 minutes, since my recipe was made in high altitude (Colorado)
