Ingredients
  • 1/2 teaspoon mixed garlic flakes and dried herbs of choice
  • 3 tablespoons reduced fat sour cream
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/8 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • Filling:
  • 1 cup diced red bell pepper
  • 3 cups sliced mushrooms
  • 1 skinless double chicken breast cooked and cubed
  • 1 cup coarsely diced tomatoes
  • Shredded lettuce
  • 1 ounce reduced fat cheddar cheese
  • 6 pita pockets

Directions
  1. Combine garlic flakes, herbs, sour cream, paprika and black pepper and mix well.
  2. Add filling ingredients one at a time stirring thoroughly to evenly coat then set aside.
  3. Make a cut across the top of each slice of pita bread to create a pocket.
  4. Divide filling evenly among the pita and place each portion inside the pocket created.
  5. Eat as is or if you prefer coat a baking dish with nonstick spray.
  6. Arrange the pita pockets carefully in the dish so as not to spill the filling then bake 15 minutes.
