How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.
  • Combine flour, cornmeal, chicken broth and margarine.
  • Kneed dough for 3 min.
  • Apply a light layer of flour to rolling surface and pin.
  • Roll dough to 1/4 inch thickness and stamp out with cookie cutter ( a bone shaped one was included with book, about 2 inches long)
  • Beat egg and milk together and apply to the top of the biscuits with a brush. (Note: make sure to put parchment paper on your baking pans or your will spend forever cleaning those same pans.)
  • Bake at 325 degrees F for 35 minutes on an ungreased cookie sheet.
  • Note: If you only have one dog or don't use these quickly, freeze off half of them, or they mold quickly.
