Ingredients
  • 3 C. white flour
  • 3/4 C. yellow cornmeal
  • 1 C. chicken broth
  • 4 Tbs. softened margarine
  • 1 egg
  • 1 Tb. milk

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.
  2. Combine flour, cornmeal, chicken broth and margarine.
  3. Kneed dough for 3 min.
  4. Apply a light layer of flour to rolling surface and pin.
  5. Roll dough to 1/4 inch thickness and stamp out with cookie cutter ( a bone shaped one was included with book, about 2 inches long)
  6. Beat egg and milk together and apply to the top of the biscuits with a brush. (Note: make sure to put parchment paper on your baking pans or your will spend forever cleaning those same pans.)
  7. Bake at 325 degrees F for 35 minutes on an ungreased cookie sheet.
  8. Note: If you only have one dog or don't use these quickly, freeze off half of them, or they mold quickly.
