How to make it

  • Put large pot on stove over medium/high heat
  • Cut smoked sausage into either circle pieces or half moon pieces and put in pot
  • Once smoked sausage is FULLY BROWNED and ALMOST BURNT add a few tablespoons of water to the pot to deglaze the bottom of the pan
  • Add the potatoes, onions, celery to the smoked sausage in the pot and enough water to cover all
  • All the salt, pepper, beef bouillion cubes, garlic and onion powder to the water
  • Increase heat to high until water begins to boil; once boiling you can
  • reduce back down to medium-medium high
  • Cook all until potatoes are tender-DO NOT DRAIN
  • Turn heat off
  • Take a potato masher and mash the potatoes to desired consistency (some like chunky/some like thinner)
  • Add can of evaporated milk
  • Add can of cheddar cheese soup
  • Stir and serve
