Cheesey Smoked Sausage Potato Soup

- 1 lb smoked sausage shopping list
- 7-8 medium potatotes (diced into large chunks) shopping list
- 1 medium onion (diced) shopping list
- 3 stalks celery (diced) shopping list
- salt & pepper to taste shopping list
- beef bouillion cubes (optional) shopping list
- garlic & onion powder to taste (optional) shopping list
- water shopping list
- one can evaporated milk shopping list
- one can of cheddar cheese soup shopping list
How to make it
- Put large pot on stove over medium/high heat
- Cut smoked sausage into either circle pieces or half moon pieces and put in pot
- Once smoked sausage is FULLY BROWNED and ALMOST BURNT add a few tablespoons of water to the pot to deglaze the bottom of the pan
- Add the potatoes, onions, celery to the smoked sausage in the pot and enough water to cover all
- All the salt, pepper, beef bouillion cubes, garlic and onion powder to the water
- Increase heat to high until water begins to boil; once boiling you can
- reduce back down to medium-medium high
- Cook all until potatoes are tender-DO NOT DRAIN
- Turn heat off
- Take a potato masher and mash the potatoes to desired consistency (some like chunky/some like thinner)
- Add can of evaporated milk
- Add can of cheddar cheese soup
- Stir and serve
