Venison Stew with Garlic

- 2 tablespoons olive oil shopping list
- 2 pounds venison for stewing, cut into 1 & 1/2 inch cubes shopping list
- 1 onion, chopped shopping list
- 1 whole head of garlic, separated and peeled shopping list
- 1 teaspoon flour shopping list
- 1 cup dry white wine shopping list
- 2 cloves shopping list
- salt and pepper shopping list
- 1 tablespoon minced parsley shopping list
- 1 bay leaf shopping list
- 3 juniper berries shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon thyme shopping list
How to make it
- Heat the oil in a heavy casserole.
- Brown the meat well on all sides.
- Add the onion and garlic.
- Continue cooking until the onion starts to melt.
- Stir in the flour.
- Add the wine, cloves, slat, pepper, parsley, juniper berries, bay leaves, and thyme.
- Cover and simmer 1 & 1/2 to 2 hours or until the meat is fork tender.
- Serve with boiled or roasted potatoes.
