Ingredients

How to make it

  • In a large saucepan combine water, celery, dried onions, salt, pepper and potatoes.
  • Bring to a boil
  • Reduce heat and simmer 20 min or until potatoes are tender
  • Add milk, ham and instant potatoes
  • Add cheese and stir until melted
  • Garnish with more cheese when served

    This is definitely simple, and so nice with the instant potato addition to thicken and flavor the soup...we have some leftover honey baked, and I will follow your method - great idea...Thank you!

    If you want a thicker soup, add more instant potatoes. This is an easy way to use up some of that leftover ham. And yes, I made this with Honey Baked. I simply cut the edges off and washed the ham to take some of the sweetness out. It worked great.
