How to make it

  • Saute butter, garlic, and Worcestershire sauce (5 minutes or so)
  • Add oysters to garlic butter, cook over medium head until oysters are opaque
  • Add half and half, simmer over medium heat for 5-10 minutes. Add more half and half if you think it is needed. Also add more Worcestershire if you think it is needed.
  • At this point, you can serve. However, it is better to let the stew sit for a couple of hours, and then reheat before serving.
  • You can substitute whole milk for the half-and-half if desired.
