Indonesian Lamb Curry

- 2 lbs lamb shoulder, cubed shopping list
- 1 onion, thinly sliced shopping list
- 1 clove garlic, minced shopping list
- 3 tb butter shopping list
- 1 8 oz can tomato sauce shopping list
- 1/2 cup each; water and ketchup shopping list
- 2 tb brown sugar, packed shopping list
- 2 tsp curry powder shopping list
- 1 tsp salt shopping list
- 2 cubes chicken bouillon shopping list
- 2 apples, pared, cored and sliced shopping list
- 1 unpeeled orange, thinly sliced shopping list
- 1/2 cup seedless raisins shopping list
- 4 cups hot cooked rice shopping list
How to make it
- Saute lamb, onion and garlic in butter in a large skillet or Dutch overn, until onion is soft and lamb loses redness. Stir in remaining ingredients, expect rice; blend well. Simmer, covered, 1 hour over medium heat; stir occasionally. Serve over hot cooked rice.
