Ingredients
  • 1 teaspoon cloves
  • 1 teaspoon allspice
  • 5 sticks cinnamon
  • Put in chesecloth bag.
  • 2 cups lemon juice
  • 2 cups orange juice
  • 3 cups sugar

Directions
  1. Put one gallon of water on to boil.
  2. Add spices in cheesecloth bag
  3. Let simmer in the water 1 1/2 hours.
  4. Put one cup tea leaves in a cheesecloth bag.
  5. Let stand until strong in the water with spices.
  6. Cool.
  7. Add lemon juice, orange juice and sugar.
  8. Serve hot or cold.

Well, I can assure you Russians don't make their tea this way. They do like tea and drink it a lot, but they mostly use the ready black tea. Sometimes from scratch they make lemon tea, peppermint tea (from dry peppermint), chamomile tea (from chamomile flowers), or rose petal tea. I do really like this version, though! 5 forks!
