Ingredients

How to make it

  • Preheat Oven to 450
  • Sift the flour to make sure there are no lumps. Add in
  • the baking powder, salt, and baking soda. Add the
  • Crisco slowly, working it into the dry ingredients.
  • You can use a large spatula or spoon, but I preferred
  • using my hands. (Yes I Said My Hands(Their Clean)
  • Knead Your Dough until it feels like playdough, do not over knead or work.
  • Now flour a rolling pin or glass from the cabinet and roll out your dough to 1/4 inch to 1/2 inch thick, flour a biscuit cutter or drinking glass and cut them out. Or you may pinch off a piece and flatten it by hand like grandma used to do...lol
  • Lay these on a lightly greased cookie sheet side by side or 1 to 2 inches apart.
  • Pop into the oven until the tops are lightly golden brown about 15 minutes or so! Watch Em' Don't Burn Em'
