Brown Soda Bread

- 2c AP flour shopping list
- 2c stone ground wheat flour shopping list
- 3/4 c wheat germ shopping list
- 1/4 c wheat bran shopping list
- 1 Tbsp baking powder shopping list
- 2 tsp salt shopping list
- 1 tsp baking soda shopping list
- 2 large eggs beaten shopping list
- 2c butter milk shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat to 375 F
- Mix AP flour, wheat flour, wheat germ, baking powder, salt and baking soda.
- In a separate bowl, mix egg and buttermilk.
- Make a well in the flour and pour egg/buttermilk mixture; incorporate
- sprinkle 1/4 c flour onto counter/cutting board and scrape dough onto it
- Coat hands in flour
- Knead 2 min.
- Divide dough in half.
- Form dough into slightly flattened ball
- Slash dough crosscut ~1/2 in. deep.
- Bake 35-40 min.
- Remove, let cool and enjoy.
