  • 1 lb. ground ham
  • 1-1/2 to 2 lbs. ground pork
  • 1 Tbsp. relish
  • 1/2 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cups seasoned bread crumbs
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/4 tsp. cumin
  • 2 tsp. dried parsley
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 Tbsp. milk
  • 2 Tbsps. brown sugar
  • 1 Tbsps. apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tsp. dry mustard
  • 1 Tbsp. water
  • SAUCE:
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup apple cider
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • a good squeeze of Heinz 57
  • 1 cup pineapple juice
  • 2/3 cup pineapple tidbits

Directions
  1. Directions for Meatballs:
  2. Mix all ingredients thoroughly and form into small balls.
  3. I like to par-cook the meatballs in a 375 degree oven for 30-35 minutes.
  4. Then transfer the meatballs to a baking dish or casserole.
  5. Directions for Sauce:
  6. Heat ingredients for sauce.
  7. Stir until sugar dissolves.
  8. Pour over meat balls.
  9. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
  10. Serves 10 - 12 as an appetizer

Sounds excellent. I would have never have thought of adding ground ham to meatballs! Super way to use up extra ham! I love this recipe!
