How to make it

  • Mix sugar, juice and rind in a saucepan.
  • Bring to a boil.
  • Reduce heat.
  • cook slowly 15 minutes.
  • Remove from heat, stir in pepper, salt and pecans.
  • Stir.
  • When well coated, drop from tip of spoon onto greased cookie sheet
  • or wax paper.
  • Cool.
  • Store in airtight container.
