How to make it

  • Beat egg yolks in a bowl.
  • Blend in milk,lemon juice and lemon peel.
  • Add sugar,flour and salt,beat until smooth.
  • Beat egg whites until stiff.
  • Fold into yolk mixture,gently,but completely.
  • Pour into a greased one quart casserole dish.
  • Place this dish inside another pan,pour hot water into the the larger pan to about 1" deep.
  • Bake in a 325 degree oven,for about 30 to 40 minutes,or until golden brown.
  • Serve warm or cool,topped with whipped cream that has been flavored with Lemon extract.
