  • 1 cup soft butter or margarine
  • 1 1/2 cups (4 to 5 oz.) shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • Dash cayenne pepper
  • 1 1/2 cups crisp rice cereal

Directions
  1. 1. Cream butter with the cheese. Blend in flour and cayenne pepper. Mix in cereal.
  2. 2. Press into buttered 8-or 9-inch cake pan. Bake at 375 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes or until crisp.
  3. 3. Cool Cut into bars. Serve warm or cold.

Sounds plenty of yummy. A savory take on the classic Rice Krispies Bars, great as an appetizer, a side for soups instead of crackers, or a savory snack to munch while watching TV or doing computer stuff. I think I just salivated all over my keyboard!
