Ingredients
  • 1. 2.25 lbs. spaghetti noodles
  • 2. 2 C cherry or grape tomatoes
  • 3. red pepper flakes
  • 4. whole spanish style sardines in olive oil
  • 5. chopped parsley
  • 6. Pepper
  • 7. garlic
  • 8. onion

Directions
  1. *
  2. Cook spaghetti or whatever pasta you like in salted boiling H20.
  3. Meanwhile, in a sauce pan, saute some garlic & onion in a generous amount of olive oil.
  4. Add the cherry or grape tomatoes. Otherwise, diced regular tomatoes (deseeded) will do.
  5. Season with s & p. Sprinkle with red pepper flakes.
  6. Add some of the pasta cooking H20. Let it simmer for a few minutes.
  7. Take out the whole sardine pieces from the bottle and drain out the olive oil. Break up a few pieces into the sauce and leave some for later. I like biting into big chunks of sardines.
  8. Toss the cooked pasta in the sauce.
  9. Add more olive oil or pasta H20 if desired. Sprinkle with some chopped parsley.
  10. Transfer to the serving dish. Top with whole sardines. Garnish with more parsley and red pepper flakes.
