- BATTER: shopping list
- 4 cups all-purpose flour shopping list
- 1 1/2 cups sugar shopping list
- 3 teaspoons baking powder shopping list
- 3/4 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1 teaspoon baking soda shopping list
- 1/2 cup margarine OR butter, softened shopping list
- 1 1/2 cups water shopping list
- 2 large eggs shopping list
- 1 cup cranberries, chopped shopping list
- OR shopping list
- 2 packages quick bread mix shopping list
- 1 cup cranberries, chopped shopping list
- FOLD-INS shopping list
- 2 1/2 cups maraschino cherries, drained well shopping list
- 1 1/2 cups pecans, broken shopping list
- 20 ounces crushed pineapple, drained shopping list
- 2 cups raisins shopping list
- 1 1/2 cups walnuts, broken shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- Grease and lightly flour a tube pan OR line with parchment paper.
- In very large bowl mix the batter posted here OR quick bread mixes according to package directions.
- Stir in remaining ingredients.
- Pour into prepared tube pan.
- Baking time varies between 1 1/2 and 2 hours plus.
- Cake is done when knife inserted into center comes out dry.
- Remove cake from oven.
- Cool on wire rack.
- Turn out when barely warm.
- Slice thin.
- Freezes well
