Snow Peas with Almonds

- 1/4 cup chopped green onions plus their tops shopping list
- 1 tablespoon salad oil shopping list
- 1/2 pound (about 2 cups) snow peas, or 1 7-oz package of frozen pea pods, thawed shopping list
- 1 3-oz can of broiled mushrooms, drained shopping list
- 1 chicken boullion cube shopping list
- 1/4 cup boiling water shopping list
- 1 teaspoon cold water shopping list
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch shopping list
- 2 tablespoons of toasted almond slivers shopping list
How to make it
- Cook onion in the oil until tender, but not brown.
- Add pea pods and mushrooms; toss and cook over high heat 1 minute.
- Dissolve the boullion cube in the boiling water.
- Combine the cornstarch with the cold water; stir boullion and cornstarch mixture into the peas.
- Cook, uncovered, over high heat until the mixture thickens.
- Removed from heat immediately and toss with the toasted almonds.
