  • 1 coro (approx. 2 qrt ) water
  • 1 handful (approx. 3oz) dried goat meat, pounded on a rock
  • 1 small handful (approx. 5oz) dried tomatoes
  • 1 handful (approx. 5oz) dried okra, pounded on a rock
  • 1 teacup (approx. 5 fl oz) vegetable oil
  • 1 small spoonful (approx.1 t) salt

Directions
  1. Put a pot of water over a freshly lit fire. When water boils, add goat meat, tomatoes, okra, oil, and salt. Simmer about 20 minutes.

Very unique and interesting recipe! I love your adaptation of this soup with the jerky meat.


I have made some beef and bison jerky stew type recipes that were very tasty. Its amazing how much is swells up when it is re hydrated. For my taste, I would much rather have the dried okra. My family uses it in a lot of Middle Eastern Lamb and Goat recipes. Very interesting. Thanks Jim


I think the crushed dried okra would be better. it would make a richer broth.
