Almond Macaroon Brownies

- 3 ounces cream cheese softened shopping list
- 6 tablespoons butter shopping list
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar shopping list
- 3 eggs shopping list
- 1/2 cup all purpose flour shopping list
- 1 tablespoon all purpose flour shopping list
- 1-2/3 cups flaked coconut shopping list
- 1 cup whole blanched almonds shopping list
- 6 ounces semisweet chocolate shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon salt shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 350 then grease a square pan.
- Beat together cream cheese and 2 tablespoons butter until softened then beat in 1/4 cup sugar.
- Stir in 1 egg, 1 tablespoon flour and coconut.
- Reserve 16 whole almonds then chop the rest.
- Stir in 1/3 cup chopped almonds and set aside.
- Melt 5 ounces chocolate and remaining butter over low heat until melted then remove from heat.
- Stir in 1/2 cup sugar and vanilla then beat in 2 eggs.
- Stir in 1/2 cup flour, baking powder and salt then add remaining chopped almonds.
- Spread chocolate batter in pan then spread cheese batter on top and garnish with whole almonds.
- Bake for 40 minutes being careful not to over bake.
- Melt remaining chocolate and drizzle over brownies then cool in pan and cut in squares.
