MAPLE SYRUP SPICED BREAD This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Rodgers in Longview, Texas in 1982.

Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup raisins
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 tablespoon maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 egg
  • 2-1/2 cups bread flour plus 2 tablespoons
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon dried orange peel
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1-1/2 teaspoons yeast

Directions
  1. Place all ingredients into a bread machine according to manufacture directions.
  2. Add raisins after beep.
