Baked Cranberries

- 1 quart fresh cranberries washed culled and drained shopping list
- 1-1/2 cups granulated sugar shopping list
- 1/2 cup water shopping list
How to make it
- While culling berries pierce each one with a needle to curtail bursting while baking.
- Place berries in a round shallow glass casserole dish and sprinkle with sugar.
- Toss to coat berries well.
- Make a hole in center of berries and pour water into hole but do not stir then cover.
- Bake at 300 for 45 minutes.
- Drain off berries and reserve liquid.
- Microwave liquid until thin syrup forms watching careful so it does not caramelize.
- Pour light syrup over berries then chill well before serving.
