How to make it

  • Cream butter and sugar till light and fluffy
  • then add vanilla and egg
  • add the corn starch and mix with your hands
  • slowly add the flour and baking powder (sieved together)
  • knead till you have soft dough
  • let stand for 5 min.
  • make chestnut sized balls
  • place on parchment paper on an oven tray and arrange them on it
  • place cocoa in a saucer and put 1 tbsp water in another saucer
  • with a small bottle (or similar)
  • dip rim of bottle into water and then into cocoa and gently press on to top of cookies
  • wipe rim of bottle every 3-4 times
  • preheat oven to 375 F (190 C) and bake for about 25min
  • let cool on parchment for 5-10 min or until cookies come away easily.
