Ingredients
- 1 3/4 cup flour
- 3/4 cup cocoa powder
- 3/4 cup light brown sugar
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 bag Hershey's kisses - flavor of your choice
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350.
- In medium sized bowl, ream butter and sugars until well combined and light in color.
- Add the egg and vanilla until well incorporated. Be sure to scrape the sides and bottom of bowl.
- In another bowl, sift together flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt and cocoa powder. Add to butter mixture slowly, on medium speed. Be careful not to overmix.
- Form dough into 1" balls.
- Bake for about 10-12 minutes.
- Let cool for a few minutes before transfering to a wire rack.
- Once cookies are cooled but still slightly warm to the touch, lightly press an unwrapped kiss into the center. makes about 31/2 dozen cookies.
