  • 1 bag Dry Chickpeas

Directions
  1. Preheat the oven to 175
  2. Rinse the chickpeas
  3. Place the chickpeas on a baking sheet so they are not touching each other (if possible)
  4. Placet in the oven untill they are slightly toasted ,checking and turning them every 5 minutes or so. They should turn color lightly
  5. After toasting, put them in a clean spice mill ,coffee grinder or blender and pulse till you get flour.

Thank you... this will be so much less expensive than buying the already made flour....

I would suggest that you sift the flour before using to get out any pieces that did not grind up fine enough..


Chickpea flour is sold in the local Indian Bazaar store . There are lots of different kinds of flour, and besan and gram are 2 different names for chickpea flour.
