Ingredients
  • 4 rashers rindless bacon, finely chopped
  • 250 g / 8 oz. brown mushrooms
  • 250 g/8 oz. cream cheese
  • garnish possibilities: chopped pimento, bacon, or a mushroom!
  • crostini
  • crackers
  • pita triangles

Directions
  1. Cook bacon until crisp., Transfer to a plate. Add mushrooms and saute with moderate heat, for 5 minutes, until softened.
  2. In a food processor, add the bacon, mushrooms, and cream cheese. (I think I would put some pimento in too) Process until smooth. Pile into small pots to serve. Refrigerate 30 minutes before serving.
  3. Little baskets of breads, crackers and little pots of this rich spread.

Sounds good... to the beat of my knowledge a rasher of bacon is a strip of bacon so your recipe calls for 4 strips of bacon.... I hope that helps...

Sounds really yummy! Love mushrooms and this should come out delish!

Http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y45/btdoan/IMG_5716.jpg This is the website with a photo of a rasher. (looks like a slice of ham to me) What I gathered is that a rasher of bacon is a slice.

I bet U.S. bacon would be good in the recipe too!
