Ingredients
  • 12- ounces ( 350 g) goats cheese in a log and well chilled for slicing
  • flour for coating
  • 1- egg lightly beaten and seasoned with thyme and some freshly grated nutmeg.........
  • garlic
  • vegetable oil for frying
  • 1- small onion finely chopped
  • 1- tablespoon wine vinegar
  • dash of tabasco sauce
  • 6 - heaping tablespoons of chopped fresh mint

Directions
  1. slice the chilled cheese and dip the slices first in flour then in the beaten egg mixture, then back in the flour again
  2. heat the oil in a skillet until it begins to smoke then slide the cheese slices into the pan and cook them on both side until lightly golden brown...
  3. rub the inside of a bowl with the garlic and mix together the onion, olive oil, wine vinegar-tabasco sauce-and mint
  4. spoon the mixture onto the individual plates and place the cheese slices on top
  5. makes 4 servings

O.K. - For most people goat cheese is an acquired taste. I for one, love it. Occasionally that is. Anyway, this looks good to me. Thanks.
