Honey Barbeque Chicken Strips

- 2 pounds boneless skinless chicken strips shopping list
- 2-3/4 cups flour shopping list
- 1 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper shopping list
- 1 cup buttermilk shopping list
- vegetable oil for deep frying shopping list
- Sauce: shopping list
- 1 cup hickory smoke barbeque sauce shopping list
- 1/4 cup water shopping list
- 2 tablespoons honey shopping list
- 1 tablespoon catsup shopping list
- 1 teaspoon liquid smoke shopping list
How to make it
- Mix flour, salt and pepper in bowl then set aside.
- Place buttermilk in separate bowl.
- Heat oil for frying and dip chicken strips in flour then in buttermilk and then finally flour again.
- Place in oil that has heated to 375.
- Fry strips without overcrowding until lightly golden brown then remove and drain well.
- Place all ingredients in small sauce pan then mix thoroughly and simmer 20 minutes.
- Allow sauce to cool slightly then dip one chicken breast strip in sauce at a time.
- Place in a baking pan that has been sprayed lightly with nonstick spray.
- Place in preheated 350 oven and bake 20 minutes then serve immediately.
