How to make it

  • Mix flour, salt and pepper in bowl then set aside.
  • Place buttermilk in separate bowl.
  • Heat oil for frying and dip chicken strips in flour then in buttermilk and then finally flour again.
  • Place in oil that has heated to 375.
  • Fry strips without overcrowding until lightly golden brown then remove and drain well.
  • Place all ingredients in small sauce pan then mix thoroughly and simmer 20 minutes.
  • Allow sauce to cool slightly then dip one chicken breast strip in sauce at a time.
  • Place in a baking pan that has been sprayed lightly with nonstick spray.
  • Place in preheated 350 oven and bake 20 minutes then serve immediately.
