How to make it

  • Cut the lard into the flour and salt.
  • Beat the egg in a 1-1/2 cup measureing cup,add vinegar and fill cup with cold water.
  • Adding enough of this to the flour to make a dough that will hold together in a ball.
  • Make sure not to handle the dough with warm hands to much.
  • Roll out,line pan,pour whatever you like in for the filling,cover with more pastry,fuss a bit with the crimping,place in oven bake.
