How to make it

  • Clean the prawns and slit them along the back, keeping them attached at the other side(like butterfly prawns).
  • Grind onion, ginger, green chillies together to a paste (do not add water).
  • Mix in garam masala and pepper powder. Add salt.
  • Fill the prawns with this paste. Smear remaining paste (if any) on the out side.
  • Roll the prawns in breadcrumbs to make the paste stick.
  • Dip in beaten egg and roll in breadcrumbs again.
  • Deep fry in hot oil till golden.
  • Serve hot.
