New York Steak Sandwich

- 2 Boneless New York strip steaks shopping list
- 1 tbsp olive oil shopping list
- 2 tbsp sour cream shopping list
- 1 tbsp Mayo shopping list
- 1 1/2 tbsp Dijon mustard shopping list
- kosher salt shopping list
- pepper shopping list
- 1/4 c fresh baby spinach shopping list
- 1/4 c carmelized red onion shopping list
- 4 slices of San Francisco Style sourdough bread shopping list
How to make it
- Season steaks liberally with salt and pepper
- Heat Olive Oil in Pan over high heat until smoking
- Sear each steak, one minute each side
- Reduce heat to low and cook for about 8 to 10 minutes, turn only one time, until rare in the middle
- Remove from pan and place steaks on a plate, cover with foil for 10 minutes, this will lock the juices back into the steak.
- In the same pan, add a little more olive oil and saute the onions until they are carmelilzed (brown), stir
- Remove Onions, set aside
- Pan toast the bread, one side each
- Mix the Mayo, Sour Cream and Dijon and dash of Kosher Salt together and spread liberally on one two slices of bread
- Layer with Onions and Spinach
- Remove foil and slice steak into thin strips and place on bread
- Cut Sandwich in half and serve..
