How to make it

  • Season steaks liberally with salt and pepper
  • Heat Olive Oil in Pan over high heat until smoking
  • Sear each steak, one minute each side
  • Reduce heat to low and cook for about 8 to 10 minutes, turn only one time, until rare in the middle
  • Remove from pan and place steaks on a plate, cover with foil for 10 minutes, this will lock the juices back into the steak.
  • In the same pan, add a little more olive oil and saute the onions until they are carmelilzed (brown), stir
  • Remove Onions, set aside
  • Pan toast the bread, one side each
  • Mix the Mayo, Sour Cream and Dijon and dash of Kosher Salt together and spread liberally on one two slices of bread
  • Layer with Onions and Spinach
  • Remove foil and slice steak into thin strips and place on bread
  • Cut Sandwich in half and serve..

    This sounds very nice.

My first husband and I were stationed in Dover Delaware, while in the Air Force, and we had the most delicious steak sandwich when we were there.

I will print this out and try sometime very soon.

    Thank-you.

I hope you and your family have a good evening.

    Kind Regards

    Joyce
