this is a traditional recipe that has been in our family for years. Grandmother's been making this sauce since the 60's

Ingredients
  • Hamburger
  • salt
  • viniger
  • pepperica
  • sugar
  • water
  • musterd
  • Ketchup

Directions
  1. Cook to brown 1LBS. Of Hamburger in a frying pan
  2. Just buy a 14oz bottle of ketchup :)
  3. In a Medium Sauce pan put in 14oz. of Heinz Ketchup
  4. Add 1 TableSpoon of Musterd
  5. 1/2 cup of water
  6. 1/4 Tspn. Pepperica
  7. 4 TableSpoons of Suger
  8. 1 Table Spoon of Vineger
  9. 1Tspn of Salt
  10. Mix all together and cook on stovetop for 20-25 minutes on medium heat.
  11. Then pour sauce into frying pan with cooked hamburger and stir until it's mixed together. Dont be afraid to taste before serving :) Make's it all the better! Enjoy!

What a great fast dinner! One of my daughters would eat anything with ketchup in it! I be it would be great with coleslaw on it.


This looks easy and good. I may add a little chopped onion, but that's just me. Thanks for the post.
