Double Chocolate Cookies

DOUBLE CHOCOLATE COOKIES This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Lowery Estate in Arlington, Texas in 1984.
Ingredients
- 1-1/4 cup butter softened shopping list
- 1 cup granulated sugar shopping list
- 1 cup light brown sugar shopping list
- 2 eggs shopping list
- 2 teaspoons vanilla shopping list
- 2 cups sifted all purpose flour shopping list
- 3/4 cup cocoa shopping list
- 1 teaspoon baking soda shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1 cup chocolate chips shopping list
How to make it
- Cream butter and sugar than add eggs and vanilla.
- Combine flour cocoa and soda then blend into creamed mixture.
- Add chocolate chips then drop by teaspoon onto ungreased cookie sheet.
- Bake at 350 for 9 minutes being careful not to over bake.
- Cool on cookie sheet until set about 1 minute then remove to wire rack to cool completely.
