CHICKEN CORDON BLUE This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Teak Estate in Montgomery, Texas in 1990.

Ingredients
  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 4 thick slices Swiss cheese
  • 1/4 pound chipped ham
  • 1 cup Italian bread crumbs
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 350 then spray a rectangular baking dish with nonstick spray.
  2. Rinse chicken pieces and trim off any fat.
  3. Butterfly each piece so that it is still attached on one long end.
  4. Inside each chicken piece sprinkle lightly with garlic powder.
  5. Place equal amounts of cheese and ham then close chicken so it looks like a sandwich.
  6. Place in pan then drizzle melted butter over chicken pieces then sprinkle with bread crumbs.
  7. Bake 40 minutes or until chicken is no longer pink then serve immediately.

Once again i find my self here incredibly hungry and this recipe is the answer to my prayers what shall i eat. dosnt look hard and sounds yummy a big meow from me thats thankyou very much in kitty.
