Triple Corn Chowder

- 1 cup loose pack frozen whole kernel corn shopping list
- 1/4 cup chopped green or sweet red pepper shopping list
- 1/4 cup water shopping list
- 2 tablespoons chopped onion shopping list
- 1 teaspoon instant chicken bouillon granules shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper shopping list
- 1 cup milk shopping list
- 2 tablespoons yellow cornmeal shopping list
- 1/4 cup chopped sliced dried beef or fully cooked ham shopping list
- 2 tablespoons coarsely broken corn chips shopping list
How to make it
- In a medium saucepan stir together frozen corn, bell pepper, water, onion, bouillon and pepper.
- Bring to boiling then reduce heat and cover and simmer 5 minutes and do not drain.
- In small mixing bowl stir together milk and cornmeal then stir into saucepan.
- Cook and stir until thickened and bubbly then cook and stir 1 minute more.
- Stir in dried beef or ham and heat through.
- To serve ladle chowder into individual bowls and garnish with corn chips.
