Duck Pasta

- 2 duck breasts shopping list
- 1/2 Cup red wine shopping list
- 1/2 Large vidalia onion shopping list
- 3 cloves fresh garlic shopping list
- 1-2 Portabello mushrooms or equivalent amount of Shitake mushrooms shopping list
- 2 Tablespoons butter shopping list
- 2 Tablespoons olive oil shopping list
- 6 Strips bacon shopping list
- 2 Servings vermicelli shopping list
- salt shopping list
- pepper shopping list
- Crushed red peppers (if you want it a bit spicy) shopping list
- Fresh Mozarella shopping list
How to make it
- Duck/Veggie mix:
- Cook 6 strips of bacon and remove from pan.
- Let bacon cool. Crumble & set aside.
- Chop onions and mushrooms into bite size pieces.
- Finely chop garlic.
- Add olive oil and red wine to the bacon fat and saute onions, garlic & mushrooms.
- After the onions, garlic and mushrooms are sauteed, add the red wine and duck to the pan and simmer on low heat. Cook duck to preference while sauce reduces. If sauce is too liquidy, add a pinch of corn starch.
- Pasta:
- Boil water & add salt.
- Boil vermicelli.
- Drain vermicelli and add butter.
- Plate:
- Add cooked vermicelli to the pan with the onions, garlic, mushrooms & duck and cook together for a minute.
- Crumble bacon over meal.
- Plate.
- Optional:
- Cover meal in very thin slices of mozarella cheese.
