Ingredients

How to make it

  • Brown the ground beef & sausage, drain & return to pan.(if there's big meat chunks, break them up)
  • Add the Velvetta cheese chunks. And over medium high heat let cheese melt, stirring to combine it with the meat.
  • After cheese is melted & combined, stir in the Worchestershire sauce, oregano, & garlic powder.
  • Spread meat/cheese mixture onto Rye bread and place on cookie sheets.
  • Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes.
  • This also can be made ahead. Do all the stovetop work, and put mixture on bread slices, then on cookie sheets to put in the freezer for 1 hour or till frozen. Place in ziplock baggies or any container and take to your gathering. Then pop them in the oven set at 350 for 10 minutes.
  • The servings say 30, only because each bread loaf says 15 servings. It could feed that many, only if everyone had 3 pieces. And at our gatherings, everyone eats more than 3 each. Now beings there's only 3 of us to eat this, we always have plenty left in the freezer to cook up whenever we want a snack, or have company

Every so often on a Sunday instead of a meal we will do an appetizer night. Just a bunch of stuff and the kids can nibble on what they want. This sounds perfect to try.
