Beef Balls

- 6 cups all-purpose flour shopping list
- 2 teaspoons salt shopping list
- 3 eggs shopping list
- 2 cups milk shopping list
- 1/4 pound extra lean ground beef shopping list
- 1 small onion, diced shopping list
- 1 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper shopping list
- dried garlic shopping list
- any herbs you fancy shopping list
- cubes of cheese for centre of meat (about 150g - 1/8th pound) shopping list
- oil for deep frying shopping list
How to make it
- In a medium bowl, mix together the ground beef, onion, salt and pepper and herbs until well blended. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, stir together the flour and salt.
- Pour in the eggs and milk, and stir until well mixed
- Form the dough into 2 inch balls, and roll out into circles 1/4 inch thick on a floured surface.
- Form the beef into golf ball sized balls,
- push a piece of cubed cheese into centre and close up
- and place each one onto one half of a dough circle.
- Fold the circles over to enclose the meat.
- Seal the edges with your fingers, use a drop of water in necessary
- Heat the oil in a deep fryer to 365 degrees F (185 degrees C),
- or over medium-high heat in a large deep skillet.
- Fry until golden brown, turning once.
- It should take about 10 minutes total for each batch.
