Easy Pear Gratin with Almond Topping

- 2 tablespoons butter shopping list
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar shopping list
- 4 small firm pears, halved, peeled and cored shopping list
- 1 egg shopping list
- 1/4 cup milk shopping list
- 1/4 cup flour shopping list
- 1/8 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar shopping list
- 1/4 cup crushed almonds shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat the oven to 425 degrees.
- Heavily butter a 9-inch pie plate, preferably glass, with the 2
- tablespoons butter, and sprinkle the 2 tablespoons sugar over the
- bottom. Place the halved pears flat-side down in the pie plate.
- Make the batter by beating together the egg, milk, flour and salt.
- Pour over the pears.
- Mix together the 1/4 cup sugar and the almonds; sprinkle over
- the pears.
- Bake for 15 minutes.
- Serve hot or warm.
